Funding target smashed in 2 days

The original Crowdfunder target was hit within 48 hours, with thousands of donations continuing to come in from around the world.

The project

At the G7 Summit in Cornwall we launched the 30 by 30 campaign, in which we asked world leaders to establish and enforce the protection of at least 30% of our oceans from industrial fishing by the year 2030.

Together with Crowdfunder, we created an explosive international campaign which manifested in the form of awareness raising stunts and design. Think ‘fishy’ money, billboards, sound installations, light projections onto landmarks, bus adverts, and more. The idea was to keep sustained pressure on politicians around the world, all the way through to COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland and beyond.

The outcome

In just two days the original funding target of 30,030 was smashed – with thousands of donations continuing to come in from around the world to support the campaign.

And as we continue to raise awareness and advocate for change, there will be even bigger plans to come. Our goal is that people understand the reality of what’s happening to our oceans, make lifestyle changes and advocate for change, so that taking positive action is the only way forward.

But as every pound matters, they are continuing to collect donations from supporters.

All your support has helped get these important issues into the mainstream and this is just the beginning of some much needed positive change for our oceans.
