Project Manager

Something Familiar studio, Bristol

We’re a Bristol-based, B Corp certified brand and digital studio, and we’re growing. We’re after a Project Manager who can hold the whole picture — timelines, budgets, people, and the small details that make a project feel effortless to the client — while giving our designers and developers the space to do the work they’re proud of.

About the role

You’ll be the steady hand across a portfolio of brand and digital projects, from early scoping through to launch. You’ll own the plan, anticipate the bumps before they happen, and keep everyone — clients and team alike — clear on what’s next.

This isn’t a box-ticking PM role. We care about the work, and we want someone who cares about it too: someone who understands that good process exists to protect good thinking, not to get in its way.

What you’ll be doing

  • Planning and running projects end to end — scoping, scheduling, resourcing, and budget tracking;
  • Being the day-to-day point of contact for clients, keeping them informed, reassured, and excited;
  • Writing clear briefs and keeping the studio’s documentation tidy and up to date;
  • Spotting risks early and steering around them before they become problems;
  • Running stand-ups, kick-offs, and retros that people actually find useful;
  • Protecting the team’s focus and flagging when timelines or scope start to drift.

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years managing creative or digital projects, ideally in an agency or studio;
  • A calm, organised approach and a genuine enjoyment of keeping things on track;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication — you can talk to a developer and a founder in the same afternoon and meet them both where they are;
  • Confidence with project tooling (we use a mix; the right tool matters less than the right instincts);
  • A people-first mindset and a sense of humour.

Nice to haves

  • Experience with brand and web projects specifically;
  • Familiarity with the realities of design and front-end development workflows;
  • An interest in sustainability, ethics, and the B Corp movement.
